Christine WoodallMississippi If you have a question about the 1990 Americans with Disabilities Act, Christine Woodall is the person that can answer it. She gives technical assistance part-time for the Southeast Disability and Business Technical Assistance Center and works for the nationally known Coalition of Citizens with Disabilities of Mississippi. Christine is the ADA Director for the Coalition that is known around the United States because of their advocacy with "Justice for All." She is a long-time advocate for Disability Rights and was with ADAPT in Washington DC back in 1994. She says this is her first ADAPT Action, although she is familiar with many ADAPT members and has followed ADAPT for years. "You can only be a nice guy for so long," explains Christine about why she is finally committed to an entire ADAPT Action. "I hear the same things being asked ten years later." In her role of providing technical assistance on the ADA she is frustrated that since 1990 there are still many Americans that don't "get it." Christine also works to help Mississippi legislators "get it." She has met with Democrat Gene Taylor of Mississippi and Senator Trent Lott. Now she has the message of REAL CHOICE to take back to the Mississippi lawmakers.
