The Colorado Medical Services Board begins its monthly meeting. It is a public forum, the board typically sits at one end of the room, the public in the back.
Usually, Medicaid policy and funding changes come and go with little notice by the average Colorado resident, however, this year Medicaid recipients and related agencies are demanding that our state apply for federal funds called Money Follows the Person. Unlike many political issues, taxes and budgets that Coloradoans have to deal with this time of year, Money Follows the Person is a bureaucratic issue. The funding for this program has been passed by the US Congress and is available for states that apply. The question to bureaucrats is: “Why has Colorado failed to apply for this money?” Next >>
